Ada Brown

Ada Viola Brown (nee: Bunch), was born on May 8, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was raised by Henry and Edna (Tindle) Bunch; both are now deceased. She was the second oldest of four children and was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Rose Neville. She is survived by her two brothers: Henry Bunch, Jr. and Daniel Bunch. Ada attended Southern High School and later married John M. Brown, Sr. on August 22, 1964. Together, they mourned the death of a child, Virginia Lee Brown, who passed away at just two days old. Ada and John subsequently raised four children: Ada Sell, Sandra Gins, Shirley Brown and John Brown, Jr. Her beloved husband passed away in 2006. Despite her significant loss, Ada continued to enjoy her favorite pastimes - dancing, bowling, playing cards and board games, and reading. She was instrumental in the care and development of her many grandchildren: RJ, Natalie, and Alyssa Gins, Andrew Lane, Zachary Wallace, Steven Sell, and Westley Brown, and enjoyed being an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. On Friday, December 30, 2016, after aggressively fighting Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, she succumbed peacefully to her illness at approximately 1:00 PM. She was being cared for by her daughter, Shirley, along with the Heartland Hospice.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 3:00-5:00, and 7:00-9:00 at the family owned and operated McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home,P.A. 3204 Mountain Road in Pasadena, Maryland, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 1:00. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
