Albert Hamilton, Jr.

HAMILTON, Albert J. Jr., On April 1, 2017, Albert, 96, of Pasadena, Md., died peacefully with his family surrounded around him. He was born on February 5, 1921, in Detroit, Michigan, to Albert Joseph and Gertrude Mae Mawby Hamilton. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret M. Hamilton and his sisters Shirley Clendenen and Jane Dunn. He served in World War II in 1942 in the Air Corps as a ball turret gunner. He was a graduate of USC College in 1952. He was a detailer for Eaton Pharmaceuticals across the eastern region, which put him in the area of Anne Arundel County where he met the love of his life. Margie Shearer, who then was a local singer in the Baltimore area with the Zim Zimmeral Band, and many others. They were married in 1963 and moved to Riviera Beach, Md. Albert ran two liquor stores in the Pasadena area, one being Harbour Liquors where everyone knew him as Mr. Al.  He loved going to Lauer’s in Pasadena to play his lottery scratch offs. Albert was also an usher at St. Jane Frances for more than 10 years. His last job was superintendent of the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Margaret Hamilton. Albert is survived by his daughter Alison Donohue and her husband Gerard of Orchard Beach, Md. And their four children whom he adored and always had good advice for even until his last days on earth, Amanda, Ryan, Jacob and Jenna Donohue. His son Mark Hamilton and Susan Hargrave, both of California and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Dawn Sadler and her husband John, Janet Daue and Mary Lou Trimp and her husband, Dan Mauck. He had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews here in Maryland, Texas, California and Idaho.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family-owned and operated McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, PA, 3204 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, Md., 21122 on  Wednesday,  April  5, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Jane Frances Church in Pasadena, Md., on Thursday April  6, 2017 at  10 a.m. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
