Allen Poist, Sr.

Allen L Poist Sr. also known as “Pop-Pop” passed away peacefully Saturday February 21 in the early afternoon surrounded by his son's and grandchildren as well as others that loved him. Pop was a true gentleman and hardworking family man that continued working part time up until this past year when his health started to decline as a delivery man for Federated Auto in Dundalk Md. Prior to working there he had been a truck driver for many years.

He enjoyed the simple things such as "taking a seed and making it grow, or watching someone's face light up when he gave them a gift." Pop lived a very frugal but full life and the highlight of his week was visiting with his grandchildren and bringing them doughnuts or sitting around with his sons having a Budweiser.

He is preceded by his parents Edward and Helen, his wife Catherine, daughter Debbie, grandson Jared and siblings Foxy, Joni, Shirley, and Audrey and survived by his brothers Robert and Timmy, his sisters Jenny, and Jesse and his two sons Allen Jr. and Mitch. their 11 children , Dee, Kristin, Tabatha, Austin, Jason, Kenny, Michael, Justin, Sistianna, Allen, Catarina and Garrett and his great grandbabies, Trent, Kate, Macie, Mikey, and Annalynn. Pop would often reminisce about the love he shared with his beloved wife. His family knows that while it’s been very hard to have to say good bye, he is going to take his place with his wife and daughter and watch over all that survive him.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Tuesday and Wednesday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment Druid Ridge Cemetery.
