Burmeister, Anna Odessa, age 90, of Greenland Beach, beloved wife of the late Vernon J. Burmeister; devoted mother Delores Carolyn Bollino and her husband Christopher of Severna Park, MD, Vernon Dwight Burmeister and his wife Cheryl L. of Clearwater Beach, MD; dear sister of William C. Funai of Virginia, Barbara A Prokopis and her husband John of Glen Allen, VA. Dear aunt of Willis C. Funai of Greenland Beach. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Burmeister is preceded in death by her great-grandson Adam Joseph Moore.
Mrs. Burmeister was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 18, 1921 to Bazilo and Beulah Funai and died in Futurecare Chesapeake on May 13, 2012. She worked in the Phillip Morris and Dupont factories in Richmond, Virginia during World War II. She and her husband were married on May 2, 1942. After the war she moved to Greenland Beach and worked as a waitress and sales person for many years. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, crocheting, macrame, sewing, gardening, reading, traveling, baking cookies and painting, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family that meant the world to her.
