Bader B. Fileta, 65, of Pasadena, MD, died suddenly at his home on Sunday, November 18, 2012.He was born in the Shoubra neighborhood of Cairo, Egypt, on January, 10, 1947. A graduate of Ain Shams University, he immigrated to the United States in 1976 and served in the U.S. Army for 9 years. After that, he worked as a research chemist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, for 27 years. A passionate researcher, he loved his experiments and being in the laboratory. He made significant contributions to the field of medicine.
Bader is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Mary Elizabeth Fileta. They raised three sons, of whom he was extremely proud: Andrew Fileta, of Brooklyn, NY, Eric Fileta (Heawon Lee), of Gangneung, South Korea, and Michael Fileta (Bruna Fileta), of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by three brothers, a sister, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bader was a kind, generous, loving, and funny man. He was a wonderful husband, father, and brother. He will not be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 PM. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 10:45 AM.
