Barbara Imrisek, age 76, was a resident of Pasadena for over 40 years, passed away on December 9, 2024, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born on March 24, 1947, in Baltimore, to the late Thelma I. and William S. Lauver. After graduating from Southern High School, she went on to study at the University of Maryland while working full-time. She worked Full-time as a Bookkeeper for McClean Brothers for many years. She also owned and operated the local bar, Top Deck, in Baltimore City for 10 years. She served the community with the bar, always making sure it was open every holiday so that anyone that did not have a place to spend the holiday could still receive a hot meal. She enjoyed being on the water, fishing and crabbing and would spend every minute of the day out on her boats, or at the end of her pier with rod in her hand. Along with her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Deborah A. Fischer and Muriel L. Chearney. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Imrisek, of Pasadena, her nephew Matthew Fischer of Glen Burnie, her niece Pam Chearney of Pasadena and brother-in-law Robert Chearney, also of Pasadena as well as her two great nephews Bryan and Corey Moon and great niece Tara Blair. The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later time. Feel free to express your condolences below.
