Beatrice Louise Platt, 79 of Chestnut Hill Cove, MD passed away on January 12, 2015.
Beatrice was born December 29, 1935 in Baltimore, MD to Lester and Beatrice Cuffley. She was big sister to Juney and Charles Cuffley. She attended Western High School. She loved her childhood and shared fond memories.
Bea met her husband, Buz Platt at age 14 and married on May 22, 1954. They were married for over 60 joyful years and together had 7 children, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Beatrice loved her family, all God's creatures, and most important, she thought she was funny. There was never a dull moment in her life. Laughter was always present. She felt helping people was important and spent over 25 years volunteering at Meals On Wheels. The biggest accomplishment in her life was her family. She was the most loving person you would ever meet and instilled this in each and every one of her family members. Family was everything.
Beatrice is survived by her husband Matthew Platt Jr., her children Buzzy Platt, his wife Monika Platt, daughter-in-law Sheri Platt, daughter Linda Fitzhenry, daughter Pamela Platt, son Kenneth Platt, his wife Tracy Platt, and daughter Kathleen Platt. Also, her grandchildren Nicholaus Kipke, Courtney Miller, Brianne Miller, Heather Clay, Anna Snowden, Millard Snowden Jr., Patrick Fitzhenry, MaryGrace Fitzhenry, Max-Allan Platt and Dawson Combs. She is survived by 8 of her great-grandchildren and her brothers Lester and Charles Cuffley.
Bea is preceded in death by her sons Michael and Mark Platt and her great-grandson Iyziah Dorsey.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday in St. Jane Frances Church 8399 Virginia Avenue (Pasadena) at 10 AM. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park Cemetery
