Bessie H.
Johnson, 98 years old, passed away suddenly on
February 22, 2015.Bessie
delighted herself in the Lord with continuous songs
of Praise and Worship on
her heart, mind and lips. She fell asleep in Jesus. Bessie, nee Belada, was
the wife of John V. Johnson,
formerly of Cabin John, Md. Bessie was a World
War II
bride. When Bessie was 34 years old, John preceded her in death in the
1950s,
after only a few years of marriage. They
never had children. Bessie
did not
remarry. She spent the remainder of her
years in service to others
in the family Grocery Store business, in Baltimore,
Md. and in caring for
relatives and friends who had fallen ill. Bessie was an avid listener of
Christian radio. Bessie is survived by family
members: Barbara Oktavec Dewar,
Dr.
William J. Oktavec, Henry J. Belada, Jr., Deborah Belada Faught and many
grand-nieces
and -nephews throughout the USA. Viewing will be at
the
McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home P.A., 237 Patapsco Ave, Balto, Md. 21225 (Brooklyn) on
Wednesday
(2/25/15) and Thursday (2/26/15) from 3 pm to 7 pm A Christian
Burial service
will be held at St. Athansius Church, at the Memorial Chapel,
4708 Prudence St.,
Balto, Md. 21226 on Friday (2/27/15)
at 10 am
Internment
will be at Cedar Hill Cemetary, 5829 Ritchie Hwy, Brooklyn, Md.
