Bobby Lee Byrd 82, of Brooklyn, Maryland died June 12, 2012, at MedStar Harbor Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
Born March 11, 1930, in Crisfield, MD he was the son of the late Harry E. Byrd and the late Bessie Ford Byrd.
Mr. Byrd was a veteran of the US Army, has lived in Brooklyn for over 60 years and held many jobs his longest employer was Harbison Walker for 35 years.
He was a loving husband and good father who cherished his family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Gertrudis "Francis" Byrd, and their two children, daughter Brenda Lee Johnson, son-in-law Brian K. Johnson, son Robert P. Byrd, and Mr. Byrd's daughter Eva Jane Helgeson of Salisbury.
A memorial service will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland 27 June 2012 at 1100.
