Bryan W. Gillespie
After a long courageous battle with osteosarcoma, Bryan Gillespie passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022, with his devoted wife Amanda "Mandy" by his side. The dedicated son of Carolyn Gillespie and Earl Gillespie. Bryan was born in Chincoteague VA. The family moved to Maryland where Bryan graduated from Chesapeake High School. After high school, Bryan sought his own path where his hard work and ambition led him to start his own successful business, Complete Maintenance. His incredible work ethic and excellent craftmanship earned him a reputation that had him receiving referrals the days before he passed. He enjoyed NHRA quarter mile drag racing where he met and made countless friends on the circuit. Fearless and never one to shy away from speaking his mind, or his heart, you never guessed where you stood with Bryan. Family and friends will remember his faithful loyalty and generosity. He never turned you away and always had your back. Perhaps more than his strength some will remember him for his weakness for wildlife. Always looking for the scraps to leave for stray cats, fox, and racoons or setting out a salt lick for the deer. Other than great food and drink, like Betty's spaghetti or a good margarita, the only thing he loved more was his family and friends. He may be gone from our sight, but he is just as large in our hearts as he was in our lives. He will be missed beyond measure.
Bryan is survived by his sister’s, Mona Gillespie and Diana Gillespie. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Gillespie, mother Carolyn Gillespie (nee Thomas), and sister Earleen.
