September 4, 1944 — March 9, 2025

Carl Dean Harding, born on September 4th, 1944, was called home to be with the Lord on March 9th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Oranda Harding; his father, Minor Harding; his mother, Addie Harding; his sister, Sylvia Keller; his grandson, Daniel Faletto; and his great-grandson, Daniel Jr. Faletto. Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Harding; his daughter, Sophie Faletto, and son-in-law, Jerry Faletto; his cherished grandchildren, Jessica Sigman, Jade Faletto, and Maiya Faletto; and his treasured great grandchildren, Cara Sigman, Brenden Faletto, Landyn Sigman, Landon Peet, Nathaniel Faletto, Adley Peet, and Ryder Sigman. He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Hardin, Wade Hardin, James Hardin, Lewis Hardin, Margie Hardin Brown, Angie Hales, and Faye Carpenter. A man of boundless love and generosity, Carl was also the proud uncle to over 19 nieces and nephews, and he was a friend to hundreds, all of whom will ensure that his memory lives on for generations to come. Carl was the cornerstone of his family, a man with a remarkable ability to tell stories and offer wisdom. A master brick mason by trade, he built not only homes and structures but also an enduring legacy. For 50 years, he ran his business, Pasadena Building Concepts, with tireless dedication and success. Starting from humble beginnings, Carl used his intellect, work ethic, and sheer determination to build an empire. He was also a proud historian for the Lumbee Indian Tribe and Head of the Chapter here in Baltimore, Maryland. His talents were many, but it was his heart—one full of compassion and generosity—that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He would give freely to anyone in need, never hesitating to lend a hand or offer support. Carl's love for family was boundless, and he treasured every moment spent with his loved ones. His presence was always accompanied by laughter and joy, and he had a special bond with his great-grandchildren. He reveled in sharing stories from his childhood and imparting valuable life lessons, ensuring that his legacy would live on through them. In addition to being a master mason, Carl was also an avid fisherman. He often said that his happiest place was on a boat, with a fishing rod in hand. There was no fish he couldn’t catch, and it was there, surrounded by nature, that he found peace and contentment. Carl lived a full, rich life, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. The impact he had on those around him is immeasurable, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and hard work. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will remain in our hearts, and we will miss him every day until we are reunited again. Rest in peace, Carl. You were truly one of a kind.
