Switala, On April 23, 2011 Carolyn M. a Pasadena resident since 1970, beloved wife of 55 years to Leonard A. Switala, Jr. devoted mother of Leonard A. Switala, III of Delaware, Maryann C. Ingram of Catonsville, John J. Switala of Pasadena, Karen R. Walsh of Pasadena, Stephen J. Switala of Pasadena and Sally A. Darin of Florida, dear sister of Rosalie Bantle, Marylou Gallego, Frances George and James Fazzolari, all of New York and the late John Fazzolari. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Switala was born on August 31, 1929 in New York to the late John and Frances Fazzolaro and died at her home in Pasadena on April 23, 2011 under the care of Professional Healthcare Resources Hospice. Mrs. Switala was a Procurement officer for the Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church who enjoyed playing cards, bingo, slot machines, bowling and spending time feeding family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church 8325 Ventnor Road (PASADENA) on Friday at 9:00 AM. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.
