Biography

Carroll T. Richardson, 86, a 54-year resident of Linthicum Heights, died April 9 at his home after a two-month illness. Born October 15, 1923, in Baltimore, graduated Glen Burnie High School in 1939, graduated University of Baltimore 1955 with a Juris Doctorate. Carroll served from 1942 - 1945 as a U.S. Navy Aviation Machinist Mate on a PBY Catalina. He retired in 1985 after 36 years from the State Highway Administration, Office of Real Estate. His memberships included the Theosophical Society in Maryland; Pythagoras Lodge #123 in Cockeysville; Boumi Temple, Margate Yacht Club. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, sailing, playing bridge, and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Hester B. Richardson.
Survivors include sons, William Richardson of Pasadena and Robert "Gus" Richardson of Linthicum Heights; daughters, Ellen Lemaster of Woodstock, Ruth Richardson-Rivera of Glen Burnie; and four grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at the Community United Methodist Church, 8680 Ft. Smallwood Rd Pasadena, and another on May 2, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the Unity Center of Baltimore, 2901 N. Charles Street, Balt.
Donations may be made in Mr. Richarson's name to the Unity Center of Baltimore and Hospice of the Chesapeake, Annapolis.
Cremated remains to be interred at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery at a private ceremony. Arrangements were made by the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. , in Brooklyn.
