On December 22, 2010, CATHERINE "ROOTS" METZGER-MELTON (nee Williamson) passed away at age 97, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the dear wife of the late Charles Metzger and the late James Melton; devoted mother of the late Howard Metzger, Margaret Metzger and James Melton. Survived by her grandchildren, Peggy and William Thomas Jr., Patricia and Michael Weigman Sr., Janie Melton, Cindy Sadler, George and Joe Melton and the late Jimmy and John Melton. Her great-grandchildren, Kimberly and Michael Hanline, William Thomas III, Tabitha Weigman, Kim Custer, Michael Jr. and Nicole Weigman; devoted great-great grandmother of Brandon Thomas, Thomas Starr, Cameron Thomas, Aiden Thomas, Michael Weigman III and Emily Weigman.
Family will receive friends at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME P.A., 130 East Fort AVenue (South Baltimore) on Sunday and Monday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 Noon. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
