Catherine Moran

October 21, 1941 — May 2, 2015

Catherine Elizabeth Moran, age 73 of Pasadena MD, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 2 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 21, 1941 to Leo and Catherine Kelly in South Baltimore, MD. Catherine attended Saint Mary Star of the Sea and Southern High School. Catherine was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, cousin, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed but can now rest peacefully, when she’s not busy fielding our prayers.
Catherine united with Victor James Moran Sr. in May 1961 and moved to Pasadena where they have made a home, raised a family, spent 40+ years as parishioners of St Jane Frances and Our Lady of the Chesapeake and were very active in all facets of their community.  In addition to concurrent fulltime careers as homemaker, caterer and rectory office manager she has been the director of transportation and sideline cheering section at thousands of sporting contests for her athletic children and grandchildren spanning 45 years.   She has been active in several senior groups since her retirement from the Archdiocese of Baltimore and primary caretaker for her husband the past 10 years.
She loved casinos, the beach, traveling, shopping, fast cars, loud music, paragliding, good wine, providing for her family, giving her opinion, holding her grandchildren and being overly generous.  She loved being a part of lives.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 54 years, Victor; daughter, Donna; Son Eric and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Crystal, Justin, Hudson, Colby, and Avery plus numerous nieces and nephews.  Catherine is preceded in death by her parents and oldest son, Victor Jr.
