Christopher Leroy Phillips, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on October 26, 1977, in Baltimore, Maryland, Chris grew up to become a loving son, a devoted father, and a cherished brother. He is remembered for his vibrant personality, characterized by a great sense of humor that often included his signature dad jokes, and for being a wonderful neighbor to those around him.
Chris dedicated himself to his career as a Business Owner in Communications, where his passion and entrepreneurial spirit shone through. His commitment to his work mirrored the dedication he showed in his personal life, always striving to bring joy and laughter to those he encountered.
A proud father, Chris is survived by his beloved children: Alexis Phillips, Mariah Phillips, Sayla Phillips, and Christopher Phillips, Jr. He also leaves behind his mother, Denise Glantz, and father, Roy Phillips, as well as his brother, Keith Phillips. The memory of his late brother, Jason Phillips, will forever remain in the hearts of his family, a testament to the bond they shared.
Chris’s interests reflected the joys of life; he loved spending time at the beach, boating, and indulging in his favorite pastime of sport fishing. He was also an avid fan of basketball and softball games, engaging in many exciting moments with family and friends.
The family wishes to invite all who knew Chris to pay their respects. A viewing will be held at McCully Polyniak and Collins Funeral Home, P.A in Pasadena, MD, on March 25, 2025, immediate family only from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and public viewing from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held that evening starting at 8:00 PM.
Chris will be remembered not only for his infectious laughter and love for life but also for his bright smile, accentuated by his famously loved white teeth. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend or family member.
Christopher was able to donate the gifts of skin grafts and cornea grafts. His gift of skin grafts can help a number of people who are recovering from serious surgeries such as breast reconstruction post-mastectomy, hernia repairs and other major abdominal surgeries. Skin grafts are also used to help others recover from third-degree burns. The donation of eye tissue (specifically corneas) is a valuable gift to restore one's vision. Many lives will be impacted by Christopher’s noble decision to say “yes” to being a tissue donor. Because of this choice, he will forever be remembered as a hero to many.
