Craig Dodson

On April 30, 2016, Craig Dodson was called back to the Lord. He was born on March 16, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the beloved son of the late Robert and Helen Dodson; preceded in death by his brothers Randy, Robert and Mark Dodson. Craig was the loving father of his daughters, Heather and Holly Dodson. He was the beloved grandfather to his grandson Noah and granddaughter Kassidy. He is survived by his brother Timmy and wife Leanne and his sister Donna. Craig is survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Craig graduated from Milford Mill High School in 1973. Following High School, he attended Marine Engineers’ Beneficial Association (M.E.B.A). He served for the Anne Arundel County Police Department for 29 years, from 1974 until medically retiring in 2003. He received awards for Detective of the year and Exceptional Service in December of 1996 and recognition for his Commitment and Self-Sacrifice for his actions on October 30, 1991.

Craig loved life, laughter and a good time. He adored his family, many, many friends and enjoyed spending time with his dog Hamilton. He loved to joke around and make people laugh. He liked classic cars, motorcycles, traveling and the History Channel.

Craig will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on May 3, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to FOP 70 Fallen Heroes Fund or the Anne Arundel County Animal Control.
