Daniel William Spencer Joseph Bush was born on February 18, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland.
He was the youngest son of 6 children of Helen & Carroll Bush.
He attended Ben Franklin High School in Brooklyn, MD. In 1955, he Joined the US Army and completed Airborne School.
He served in Germany in Munich for 3 years as a paratrooper. He was in the Boxing Regiment, and then later, the Rifle Team.
Danny met the father of his wife-to-be immediately upon arrival back in the US in 1958. Danny and Kass married on September 3, 1960, at Holy Trinity Church in Glen Burnie.
He worked at Modern Linotypers as a printer from 1960 until the company closed.
Danny was an avid athlete and loved playing Men’s fastpitch & slowpitch softball, pool, darts, and horseshoes.
He found great camaraderie with a group of same sports-minded friends, and they formed a social athletic club called The Bumpkins. The members played in multiple sports leagues and had a formal ‘Clubhouse’ in Curtis Bay where they and their families would meet for parties and holidays. Until recently, Danny continued to visit his local bar to shoot some pool & occasional baseball darts.
He was preceded in death by siblings Carroll, Helen, Joan, and Walter.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy “Kass,” older brother, Bob (Ruth) children Michael (Patti), Dawn (Brian), and Brett (Sharolyn). He also is survived by 10 grandchildren: Aaron, Tyler, Kyle, Bretton, Jordy, Ryan, Bronson, Dalton, Hollyn, Bryce and 5 great grandchildren: Hudson, Banks, Mason, Kalione, and Montana.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon. Where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
