Darrell Sterling

Darrell “Bud” L. Sterling formally of Brooklyn passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018. Bud was born on May 14, 1930 in Crisfield Maryland and is survived by his loving wife Ruth of 68 years and welcomed eight beautiful children.

He was preceded in death by his sons Gary and Thomas and is survived by his children Linda and her husband Lee Boyko, Robert, Terry, Larry, Marianne and her husband Clyde Campbell and Patricia and her husband Michael Bocek. In addition to be a loving father Bud was a grandfather to his 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Bud worked at Harbison-Walker Refractories for 30+ years. He enjoyed boating, crabbing, coin collecting and lots of other outdoor activities with those he loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Most important to him was his family and the strong bonds he had with his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Entombment Cedar HIl Cemetery.
