David Wayne Crislip, 47, passed away on April 2, 2014 after a long battle with heart disease. David was born on a military installation in Germany and grew up in Kansas City, MO. He served in the US Army for two years then had a long career of 23 years at Comcast Cable. He recently worked for the CCG Group in Maryland. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Kelly Crislip and his two sons Stephen and Alex Crislip, 2 sisters Toni Moreno and Dorothy Kitselman and 2 brothers Walter Gunn and Bill Crislip, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and recently a great great niece. He is preceded in death by both his mother and father Anna and William Crislip, his brother John Crislip and his sister Ruth Gunn.
David was an avid camper and served as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 1785 in Pasadena, Md for several years. It brought him great joy to camp all over the Maryland area with the Scouts, his sons, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Even now his truck is half packed with camping gear and the hallway in his home overflows with gear in anticipation of the next trip. He and Kelly loved going to the ocean and playing on the boogie boards.
A Celebration of Life will be held at La Fountaine Bleue in Glen Burnie at 7514 Ritchie Hwy Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on April 5th from 2-6 pm. Camping will be the theme for the evening! Camp food and drinks will be provided and camp clothing is the required attire.
