Deacon Robert Lynne, Sr.

December 4, 1929 — March 22, 2015

Lynne, Deacon Robert Owen, Sr.,  on March 22, 2015, Deacon Robert Owen "Bob" Lynne, Sr., 85, of South Baltimore, peacefully succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family. Robert is survived by his wife Eleanor of 62 years, sons Robert (Susan) Lynne, Jr., William Carroll (Patti) Lynne, daughters Terry (Glen) Smith, Debbie (John) Lynne, and Donna (Tony) Scardina. He is also survived by grandchildren Christopher, Shawn, Rebecca, Robert III, Amy, Mandy, Crystal, Glen, Matt, Michael, Tony, Kaitlyn and Kim, 21 loving great grandchildren, one expected great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Robert was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.

Robert lovingly served God as a Deacon in both the Roman Catholic and Episcopal churches. He worked as an  Engineering Designer for over 30 years for various companies. He enjoyed watching his Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, Laurel and Hardy comedies, and John Wayne movies.  He enjoyed fishing when he ws younger and able to hike the trails of Pretty Boy Reservoir. He was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America and various church organizations.

A special thank you to Robert's grandson Michael, the Medstar's Doctors and Nurses, and Seasons Hospice in Baltimore for their loving care and support. Also, thank you to McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. (Brooklyn), for all of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday and Thursday at the McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A., 237 E. Patapsco Ave., (Brooklyn). A Funeral  Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Advent (Episcopal), 1301 S. Charles St., 21230, on Friday at 10 AM, in Baltimore. Interment immediately following in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
