Dolores Estelle Ritterpusch

Dolores ‘Lory’ Ritterpusch, 95, of Pasadena, Maryland passed peacefully at home with her family at her side on October 27, 2024. She was born in Baltimore on November 29, 1928 to the late George Henry Blume and Marie Wagner Blume.

In 1938 her family moved next door to the love of her long life, who, upon seeing his new neighbor told his mother he was going to marry that girl. A courtship began in 1943 and they (Dimples and Blue Eyes) were married on June 30, 1949.

Lory is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Myrell Ritterpusch, three daughters: Kathy (Joseph) Thompson, Kristy (Rick) Richter, Linda (Phil) DeRose and a son: David (Sandee) Ritterpusch. She was a loving grandmother “Gnome” and great grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 14 great children.

Lory is also survived by a sister, Anna Blume Bye, two sisters in law Agnes Blume and Pat Blume and is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and George Blume.

Lory was a homemaker whose home expanded to the church and neighbors. She loved to cook and provide for everyone always serving others. She was dedicated to Galilee Lutheran Church, beginning in 1965, and spent many years serving in many capacities including Sunday School Director, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, choir, ‘Shoeboxes for Samaritans’ and teaching Sunday and bible school. 

She loved her family, reading her bible, and collecting Angels.  Now that she has her wings, she will be the brightest of them all.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Galilee Lutheran Church 4652 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11 am. Interment Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
