Donald Homer Dailey, a lifetime resident of Maryland, passed away in the early morning hours of November 15, 2014. Born in Baltimore to the late Harry Leroy and Katherine Elizabeth. Donald was a savvy business man who started a successful moving company named Aarid Van Lines in 1944. He later retired from Aarid in 1992 with multiple Aarid Corporations still operating. Donald enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing and more than anything, spending time with his family. Mr. Dailey is survived by his wife, Lillian I. Dailey; son, William D. Dailey; daughters, Betty Lee Lewis and Anita L. Knapp; sister, Beverly Watson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Mayes, William Dailey Jr., April Jenkins, Kara Harrison, Shaun Knapp, Ryan Knapp, Kaitlin Knapp as well as six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy Harry Jr. and Clifford N. Dailey; his son Donald Homer Dailey Jr. Due to Donald's great love of animals, the family asks that any donations in Donald's honor are to be made to an animal foundation such as the SPCA or WWF.
