Died quietly in her sleep on April 19, 2009, DORIS L. JONES (nee Fogler) at her home of over 57 years; she was 86 years old. Born on April 3, 1923 in Baltimore. She worked as a licensed beautician for many years, then for Montgomery Wards until her retirement. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed her lifelong passion for shopping. She married Robert M. Jones on May 24, 1941, they were married for over 61 years. Her husband predeceased her in June 2002. Doris is survived by three sons, Robert and his wife Meg, James and his wife Joan, and Richard and his wife Darlene, one daughter, Doris Updike and her husband Frank; nine grandchildren, Kristi, Robby, Jay, Jimmy, Sherrie, Frankie, Kim, Lori and Ricky; and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Fogler and his wife Delores; a special nephew, Buddy Wroten, and many more nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 237 East Patapsco Avenue (Brooklyn), on Wednesday, April 22 between 10:30 and 12:30, Followed by a Mass in the Church of the Advent (1301 S. Charles Street) in South Baltimore at 1 P.M. Interment following, Glen Haven Memorial Park on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
