Doris Katherine McCully

Doris Katherine McCully, 102, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husbands James L. McCully and Irwin "Eddie" Rosenfeld. Doris leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with great and great great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. During her long, wonderful lifetime, Doris touched the lives of many, many people. She considered herself blessed to have countless special friends. They were very important to her and she treasured every moment they were a part of her world making great memories.

She was the "other mother" to her entire family in good times and the darkest of times, such a wonderful aunt. As children growing up, we all knew that when Aunt Doris walked through the door, the day was going to get a whole lot brighter. Just her presence made us happy. We are better people today because she was such an incredibly positive influence in our lives teaching us important core values of life by which she lived. Her constant guidance taught us to be true to ourselves but respectful of others. 

Our love for Aunt Doris will never wane as we move on. Our world won't be the same without her in it but she will live on forever in our hearts. You will be missed Aunt Doris, but you are now at peace. We love you very much and will remain eternally grateful for having YOU in our lives!

 Family and friends are invited to visit the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road on Monday January 20, 2025 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church 1530 Battery Avenue Baltimore, Maryland 21230 on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
