Edward B. Lauer, beloved husband of the late Helen B. Lauer (Nee Beaudette), devoted father of Elizabeth A. Gilley and her husband Joseph of Herndon, VA, Babette M. Poyer and her husband Charlie of Millersville, Bernadette L. Snoops and her husband Craig of Millersville, Loretta B. Lauer and her husband Martin of Florida and the late Margaret B. Millsap, dear father-in-law of Joseph Millsap of Pasadena, dear brother of Joan Peters of Perry Hall, loving grandfather of Monica and Jeffrey Gilley of Herndon, VA, Gregory, Ryan and Brad Poyer of Millersville, Whitney and Garrett Snoops of Millersville, and Paige, Eddie and Alex Millsap of Pasadena. Mr. Lauer is preceded in death by two brothers Gerard and Joseph Lauer, and two sisters Marie Scott and Elizabeth Brown. Mr. Lauer was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 10, 1926 to the late Joseph and Wilhelmina Lauer and died at his residence on January 2, 2012. He was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School and Johns Hopkins University. He was a resident of Anne Arundel County since 1976. In 1974, Helen and he acquired an existing supermarket and later renamed it Lauer's Supermarket & Bakery. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church where he served as the Director of the Building Committee. He was a founding member and 1st President of the Pasadena Business Association, a board member and past Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Food Dealers Association, and served as a board member of Farmer's National Bank. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church on Wednesday 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 3 to 5PM and 7 to 9 PM. Where a Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 AM.
