Edward T. McGoohan, 88, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, Tuesday February 23, 2021. Born in Brownsville, Texas on July 18, 1932 to Lt. Col. Edward J. McGoohan and Mary McGoohan, he graduated from St Joseph’s High School in Brownsville in 1950. He worked for Alamo Ironworks before getting his degree in architecture from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1966. He then moved to Philadelphia, PA where he was an architect for 25 years working for the City of Philadelphia before retiring in 1992 to Villas, NJ. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing classical guitar and sailing on the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays. He moved to Pasadena, MD with his son and family in 2018 where he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years, Helena M. McGoohan and his sisters, Mary Patricia, Ann, Kathleen and Mary. He leaves behind his son, Ian Edward, daughter in law Roseanne Jane, granddaughters Kirsten Hallie and Chloe Helena along with numerous nieces and nephews. He left us in body but we will never forget all of the fun that we had with him while he was with us and that spirit will live on.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM ONLY. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 12 Noon in the Cold Spring Cemetery Cape May New Jersey.
