Jones, Elmer A. beloved husband of the late Cleo V. Jones (Nee Horseman) devoted father of Elmer C. Jones of Pasadena and his wife Patricia, Patricia Maize of Glen Burnie and the late Kenneth, David J. Jones of Pasadena and the late Mary Joan. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jones a Glen Burnie resident for 13 years was born in Maryland on April 27, 1913 to Wilbur and Cathrin Jones and died in the Baltimore-Washington Medical Center on August 10, 2014. Along with his parents Mr. Jones is preceded in death by 2 grandchildren. He was a chauffer for Delivery of Baltimore for 45 years before retiring in 1976. Mr. Jones served as the Chief Clerk of the Baltimore City Council for 27 years before being named Clerk Emeritus. Mr. Jones also served as treasurer of the 19th Ward for the Democratic Club. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, playing cards and spending time with his family.
