Emma Rainey
March 21, 1925 — October 20, 2016
Emma V. Rainey, 91, beloved wife of the late Frank W. Rainey, daughter of the late Jenny and Martin Vorrath, mother of Frank W. Rainey Jr. (Teresa) and Randall V. Rainey (Theresa), grandmother of Sarah (Daniel) Whitby, Jessica Rainey, Kimberly (Nicholas) Hackett, Aaron Rainey, Joshua Rainey, step-grandsons Brian Russ and Matthew Russ, and great-grandmother of Jack Whitby and Emma Whitby.
She was employed for 20 years with the Anne Arundel County Government, affiliated with the Moose Club, served as president of the AARP, was a member of the Stoney Creek Democratic Club, and a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was an avid lover of dogs, canaries and parakeets. She also enjoyed Jazzercise, bus trips, bingo, gardening and in her younger years, roller skating, where she met her husband.
Visitation will be held at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, 21122 on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm with funeral services to be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Veterans Association
