Erika Bixler

Erika Bixler, 80, went to be with her loving Savior on Friday, February 16, 2018. She went peacefully at home with family.  Mrs. Bixler was born on March 27, 1937 in Artern, Germany to Erich and Martha Pietzsch. Erika was lovingly married to Frank F. Bixler for 40 years before he graduated to Heaven in 2000. She was a long time active member of Cross Pointe Church (formerly New Covenant Church) in Arnold, MD. She will always be remembered as a loving, cheerful lady who enjoyed helping people and sharing the love of Christ with all she met.  Her children and grandchildren will remember her for the love and care she shared with all of them.  She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are: Erich and Sheree Bixler (son and daughter-in-law), Martha Bixler (daughter), Raymond and Anne Angell (daughter and son-in-law), Brent and Jennifer Bixler (son and daughter-in-law), grandchildren Bethany and Chris Mohr, Joshua Bixler, Mary Bixler, Sarah Bixler, and Joy Bixler and great grandchildren Brady Mohr and Cecelia Stocchero and many others.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 on Saturday, February 24th at McCully – Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 25th at 4:00 PM at Cross Pointe Church, 365 Jones Station Road, Arnold, MD 21012 with a reception following. The burial will be a private ceremony at a later time.
