Ernest Woods, 75

Ernest Joseph Woods, Sr. aka ‘Googles’ 75, of Baltimore, MD succumbed to heart failure at Harbor Hospital surrounded by his family on September 22, 2017.

Ernest is survived by his wife Nancy of 55 years, daughter Janet, (Kim), son Ernest, JR. (Cathy), son Anthony (Lisa), son Tony (Gloria); grandchildren: Theresa, Ashley, Tony Jr., Eddie, Joshua, Brittany, Anthony Jr., Brandy, Mike, and Ernest III; and 9 great-grandchildren, brother James Kairos (Margaret), sister Jenny Sansone, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Ernie was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle, and friend to all.

Ernest loved his family more than anything. He worked as a general contractor for 30+ years until he was forced to stop due to his illness. He enjoyed walks around Fort McHenry, cook outs with his family, and taking his beautiful wife out for dinner whenever possible. He was always happy to help his family and friends whenever he had the chance with whatever they needed him for.

A celebration of life service will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and 6:00 until 8:00 PM at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A., located at 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 on Tuesday, September 26, 201, where  Funeral services will be at 11 am on Wednesday . Ernest will be laid to rest at the Cedar Hill Cemetery immediately after. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
