Silate, George L. beloved husband of the late Inez G. Silate (Nee Snyder) devoted father of Kevin Silate of Essex, Douglas Silate of Glen Burnie and Wayne Silate of Glen Burnie and Beverly Duvall of Glen Burnie and the late Mark Silate. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mr. Silate was born in Maryland on February 3, 1923 to George and Catherine Silate and died in the Genesis Eldercare in Severna Park on November 3, 2013. He was a purchasing officer for General Electric and was a member of the American Legion Post 277, V.F.W. Post 2462 and the Glen Burnie Elks. Mr. Silate was an avid piano player who volunteered for over 20 years playing at various nursing homes and senior centers. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Where family and friends will gather on Friday at 10 AM and proceed to the Holy Trinity Church for a 11 AM Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
