On October 16, 2011, GEORGE EDWARD "PETE" SMITH SR., formerly of South Baltimore, Beloved husband of the late Alice M. Smith (nee Carper); loving father of George E. Smith Jr. and his wife Brenda, Raymond A. Smith and his wife Barbara, Thomas J. Smith and his wife Dorothy "Gert", Timothy J. Smith and his wife Joyce and Michael P. Smith; loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, dear brother of Stanley Smith.
The family will receive friends at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME P.A., 237 East Patapsco Ave. (Brooklyn) on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM where prayers will be held on Friday at 12 PM. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery of Crownsville.
