Helena Kotchen

Helena Marguerite Kotchen (Sis), died unexpectedly on August 23, 2017, at the age of 90.

Helena is survived by her son, Stephen J. Kotchen, Jr., of Brooklyn Park, Md., her siblings, Mary A. Scott of A.A., Co., Evelyn C. Evans, David W. Buschmann and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Kotchen, Sr., and parents, Helena Louise Buschmann (nee Sellway), and Charles Matthew Buschmann, and siblings, Carlyn D. Stewart, Charles W. Buschmann, Irene J. Thompson and Gerard T. Buschmann.

Helena was born on October 16, 1926, in Baltimore, Md., She graduated from Seton High School, married Stephen J. Kotchen and began working at Southern States Cooperative, where she retired after 48 years.

The family will receive friends at the family-owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 237 E. Patapsco Ave., (Brooklyn), on Thursday and Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 P.M., where the Procession will begin on Saturday at 11:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Philip Neri Church (6401 Orchard Rd., Linthicum, 21090), at 12 Noon.
