Herb Harman, 93, of Pasadena, MD passed away on June 18, 2024, in Glen Burnie, MD. Herb, known to many as Mr. Herb, was a kind and beloved man who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Herb was born on July 12, 1930, in Upper Tract, West Virginia. He proudly served in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1953. After his military service, Herb began a career with General Motors, where he worked until his retirement.
To know Herb was to love him. He was a fierce protector and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Herb's love story with his wife, Ruth, began in a small diner in Baltimore and blossomed into a beautiful marriage in 1955. Together, they raised their children, Bernadine and Barry, and enjoyed many years of travel between Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio. Herb is survived by his daughter, Bernadine Sprouse, son, Barry Harman, sister Grace Hammer, brother Elwood "Bub" Harman, grandchildren George Brinn, Christy Syzmanski, Brittani Reid, Cierra Harman-Collet, as well as several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Harman, sister Allie "Sis” Harman, and grandson Brady Harman.
Herb Harman will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy of compassion and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P. A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
