Herbert Lecompte, Sr.

Herbert Leroy LeCompte Sr., 88 of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on February 9, 2021 of natural causes.  Herb was born on March 19, 1932 to Elmer and Carolyn LeCompte in Baltimore, MD.

After graduating from City College High School, he met his future wife, Alice in 1950 while attending a youth group at Salem Lutheran Church in South Baltimore, where they would later marry in 1953.  Herb and Alice went on to have 3 children, Cindy, Herb Jr. and Paul.

After retiring from Procter & Gamble, Herb stayed active singing and directing the choir at Galilee Lutheran Church in Pasadena, MD.  Herb was predeceased by his daughter, Cindy.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of 67 years, his brother Elmer (Marie) LeCompte, his sons Herb Jr. (Lisa) LeCompte, Paul (Margi) LeCompte.  Grandchildren Christie (John) Yingling, Julie (Steve) Stencil, Amy Phelps (Rory), Steve (Polly) LeCompte, Stephanie (Brian) Brown, Justin (Ali) LeCompte, Joseph (Colleen) Stumbo, Heather (Eric) Balmes, and 6 Great Grandchildren, Cindy (Justin), Hailie, Natalie, Steven, Roman, and Logan.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Mr. LeCompte will lie-in-state in the Galilee Lutheran Church 4652 Mountain Road PASADENA on Monday from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM at which time funeral services will be held. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
