Irean Betty Brown
On the afternoon of July 28, 2015, Irean Betty Brown passed away at home in Dundalk, MD as a result of natural causes. At the time of death, Betty was 79 years old, and was enjoying time with her daughter Lisa Brown.
Daughter of Amos & Betsy Addis, Irean Betty Brown was born on August 3, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio. At the age of fifteen, Betty met the love of her life, Clarence Carl Brown, and moved to Baltimore to get married and start a family.
After moving to Baltimore, Betty started working as a Title I School Liaison at Baltimore City School 33, and eventually retired from Baltimore City School 45. She was also a waitress for Howard Johnson’s for many years, and a Sunday School Teacher. While working, throughout the years, Betty also raised 7 children with her husband, and after retiring, she spent most of her time taking care of her many grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping, going to bingo, and spending time with her dog, which she named Bingo.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Carl Brown, who lost a yearlong battle with cancer on January 15, 1984. After losing her husband, Betty faced many struggles throughout the years. Being widowed, while trying to help raise her grandchildren, was a tough burden on her that she always managed to overcome somehow.
Betty was also predeceased by her daughter Betty Lee Brown, who passed away in August 2013, and her grandson Michael Paul Garrett-Deese, who passed away in September, 2000. However, she was survived by her other six children Clarence Paul Brown, Milton Amos Brown, Frank Raymond Brown, Kathy Irene Deese, Lisa Betty Brown, and April Paula Emerson. She is also survived by many grandchildren, including; Lisa Willis, Crystal Wagner, Clarence Brown, Brian Brown, Paul Brown, Kathy Brown, and many more grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who are definitely not forgotten, just too great in number to mention.
