Iris C. Guercio was born in Baltimore on March 17, 1930, and passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 94. She lived a full and eventful life filled with travel, family events, and her beloved bowling. She was employed for years by Giftland Trophies of Glen Burnie as an engraver and took great satisfaction from her contributions to its success, and the friendship she created with her boss, Dave Kerr. She was a strong, vibrant, and loving mother, and a great friend to many. She gained great wisdom as she aged, and her guidance will be sorely missed. She was an accomplished and dedicated bowler of Duckpins and many times through the decades outscored all in the many leagues in which she participated. She was a member of the local Chesapeake Womens' Club and dedicated many hours to their support of the community. She traveled extensively through the years and loved her visits to Europe and Australia, and enjoyed many cruises to Hawaii. She was married to our wonderful, happy, spirited Father, Joseph Guercio for almost 60 years. She stated many times that her life truly began when she met her Husband. She is survived by her three children, David, Richard, and Joann, their spouses and children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
