James ("Big Jim") Alan Matusky of Glen Burnie, MD died on February 25, 2017 after a long battle with lung disease.
Born in Baltimore, MD on July 13, 1952, Jim grew up in Linthicum and graduated from Andover High School, Class of 1970. He graduated from Lincoln Tech in 1971. A Welder by trade and former owned of S & M Trailers Inc, his passion was for AC Cobras and fast Fords. His love for cars, Harleys, and boats afforded him the opportunity to make many friends across the country. Jim lived his life to the fullest. He had a unique sense of humor that kept everyone laughing but he also had the kindest of hearts.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, James and Della Matusky. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debbie, he was a devoted father to James Ian Matusky and his wife Amanda; a loving grandfather to Jameson, a dear brother to Cheryl Nickoles and her husband Tony and Paul Matusky, dearest friend on 60 years to Gary Volrath. Big Jim is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. where funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11 AM. Cremation services to follow. The family respectfully requests no flowers, but memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake at foundation@hospicechesapeake.org or the charity of your choice.
