Meeker, Sr., on June 23, 2018, James Edward Meeker, Sr., "ROCKFISH", of Brooklyn. Beloved husband of Dorothy May Meeker. Loving father of James Meeker, Jr., and his wife Kimberly, Harry Meeker, Caroline Hall, Patricia Herder and her husband Robert Herder, Jr., Dorothy Robbins and Catherine Harris. Devoted brother of Richard Rotosky, Sr., Beloved grandfather of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Hermann Rotosky, and father Charles Meeker, and siblings, Catherine Smith Miller, Marion Smith Gephardt, William Edward Smith, Sr., Herbert A,. Smith, Sr., Rosalie Smith Record, Doris Ann Meeker, Lenwood Meeker and George Rotosky.
James was an active member of the American Legion Post #187 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2916. He was a Mechanical Engineer by trade and loved to fish and bowl duckpins when he was younger. James will be loved and missed by his friends and family and everyone he touched in his life.
The family will receive friends at the family-owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 237 East Patapsco Avenue, (Brooklyn), on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM, where the Funeral Procession will begin on Wednesday at 9 AM, for Graveside Chapel Services at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery of Crownsville, Interment immediately following.
