Jay Lancaster

Jay Gordon Lancaster, 68, of Essex, Maryland, passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 20th.
He is survived by his son Bryan Bassett, wife Nicole and children, Jera, Evan, and Rylan; his daughter Christie (Lancaster) Phelps, husband Bryan and children Katelynn and Austin; son Jason Lancaster, wife Lindsay and children Celia and Gwen; his sister Marcia (Lancaster) Coleman, husband Richard and son William. He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Martha Lancaster.
Born on October 23, 1949 in Havertown, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Army from 1970 - 1976, and graduated from the University of New Mexico before moving to Maryland in 1978. He spent all his adult life in service to our country by providing technical engineering support in various capacities, most recently for DigiFlight, Inc. Mr. Lancaster enjoyed traveling, history, computers, and architecture.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 11th and 11am at Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Maryland with reception on location afterwards. His final resting place will be next to his loving partner Bonnie Callander in Glen Haven Cemetery in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
