Joanne Howard

The family of Joanne C. Howard, née Heiss, celebrate her life by announcing that she has passed into an eternal life of peace on August 26, 2014. She is survived by her brother David Heiss, and his wife, Ellie Heiss and her sister, Margaret “Sugie” Harrison and her husband, Butch Harrison. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Billy, Johnny, Huey, Carrie, Nancy and Joseph. Devoted mother of Anthony Morisi, David Middleton and his wife, Pamela Middleton, Christopher Middleton and his wife, Kathryn Middleton, Lisa Stanley and her husband, Thomas Stanley, Carolyn Dawson and her husband, Timothy Dawson, Brian Middleton and his fiancé, Sarah Hurley, Joseph Howard and his fiancé, Stephanie Hardy, Michael Walker and his wife, Tammy Gmeinwieser, Jennifer Lader and her husband, Robert Lader, Nicholas Gmeinwieser, David Spicer and his wife, Shawnie Spicer, and Kimberly Mccleary. Cherished grandmother of Elaina, Anthony, Matthew, David, Justin, Caleb, Christopher, Melissa, Kristin, Ashlee, Joshua, Hailey, Timothy and his wife, Megan, Kadi, Thomas, Zachary, Gabriella, Preston, Sydney, Brian, Kyle, Amber, Joseph, Jonathan, Jaime, Dustin and Brian. Caring Great-Grandmother of Aiden, Piper, Hope and Mattix. Devoted and loving friend of K. Neil Spicer and Cindy O'Brien.

Joanne retired after 22 years at Spicer and Associates, PA.  She dedicated her life to her family and sharing The Lord with others. So many have been touched by her love, generosity and of course, sassiness. Her favorite times were with her family. Hitting the road, singing, dancing, joking, and just being together.

Family and Friends will honor Joanne’s life at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD on Monday September 1, 2014 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The Service and Burial will follow on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Ave, Suitland, MD 20746 at 11am.
