BRANNOCK, JOHN A., SR., passed away on April 28, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John A. and Marie (née Falk) Brannock. He joined the Anne Arundel County Police Department in 1964 as a Patrolman and retired in 1985 after 21 years. After retiring from the police department he drove charter buses for Brannock's Bus Service. In his retirement years he enjoyed walking the boardwalk in Ocean City, driving to Hoopers Island, and eating steamed crabs. Mr. Brannock is survived by his sister Marie Simmons of Cambridge, MD, his brother Wesley and his wife Martha of Hurlock, MD, four children, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a nephew and many nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law Wayne Simmons.
