Biography

Davis, On May 3, 2011 John W. a Pasadena resident for 40 years beloved husband of 38 years to Patricia J. Davis (Nee McLellan) devoted father of Deborah Fort of Arizona, dear stepfather of Pamela Hawkins of Pasadena, dear brother of Marie Langley of California, Nancy Holland of Annapolis and the late Shirley Parks, Frances Jones and James Davis. Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was born on June 23, 1940 in Maryland to the late William and Eleanor Davis and died in the Baltimore-Washington Medical Center on May 3, 2011 after a three month illness. He was a painter for Anne Arundel County Public Schools for 35 years retiring in 2001. He was the maintenance employee of the year for 1989. In his youth he was a member of the West Annapolis Volunteer Fire Company where he received the heroism award in recognition of his efforts to rescue a South American labor Leader who drowned in College Creek . He was an honorary member of the DND Hunting Club and a member of the Stoney Creek Hunting and Fishing Club. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Gardening and spending time with God Child Bobby McLellan.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake 445 Defense Highway Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
