John A Gardiner, Jr.

John A. Gardiner, Jr. beloved husband of Winnie R. Gardiner, devoted father of Cheryl Chadwell, John A. Nerud and his wife Terri, Wini R. Bauman and her husband Jon, Elaine H. Collupy and her husband Richard, Rick F. Nerud and his wife Jill, David P. Nerud and his wife Jennifer, Tabatha A. Jones and her husband Doug and the late Paul W. Gardiner and John A. Gardiner, III. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John was born in Pennsylvania on March 12, 1932, to his parents John and Helen Gardiner and passed away in the Hospice of the Chesapeake on October 22, 2024. John and Winnie were friends since 1956 but were not married until May 15, 1980. John worked for Triangle Sign Company for many years as a sign mechanic. John also was a commercial crabber for over 20 years and was a model train and plane enthusiast. John was a longtime member of the Maryland Waterman Association and was always willing to help anyone who needed him.

Where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 8:30 am Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
