John B. Matthews, Jr.

John worked for Quebecor in Glen Burnie as a printing press operator as well as worked as a truck/trailer repair mechanic.

John’s passion was anything related to the Chesapeake Bay - boating, fishing and more fishing, and crabbing with his family and his best fishing buddy, Dave. John had a great sense of humor and could tell a “whale” of a fish story! He loved to make you laugh! John also shared his heart by his love and generosity to his family. John was a loving father, brother and Uncle John to his many nieces and nephews. He will be missed.

John is survived by his son, William Matthews; Robert Matthews  ( Diane), Karen Bugg (Jim), Debra O'Brien, Linda Hill (Dave), Daniel Matthews and many extended family members and friends.

 

Family and friends are invited to visit the family owned and operated McCully Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road on Wednesday October 18, 2023, from 10 AM until 12 Noon. Cremation to follow.
