John (Ed) Edward Muller III passed away on October 27, 2019 in his home surrounded by family after a short fight with cancer. Beloved husband of 23 years to the late Carol Lee Muller (Irwin); loving father of Jennifer Carr and husband Archie, John R. Muller and wife Erin, Master Chief Robert Hilton and wife Susan, Cpl. Paul Hilton and wife Milena; loving companion of Joan Gillespie; devoted Grandfather to Jordan & Megan Carr, Gage & Brianna Muller, Nikolai & Robby Hilton, Shayln & Brandon Hilton; dear brother of Martin J. Muller and Michael J. Muller; nephew of Brenda A. White and husband Stanley White. Ed is also survived by many other family and friends.
Ed was born in Maryland on October 11,1951 to John E. Muller Jr., and Mae Jane Muller (Hendricks) and died at his Pasadena home on October 27, 2019.
Ed worked for Westinghouse and then Informatics/Orbital Science where he retired in 2011. He served in the Army Reserves for 8 years and was a member of the American Legion. He actively played volleyball with a great group of friends with A.A. Co. Recreation and Parks for many years. After retiring, he volunteered weekly for Hope for All and then for Baltimore Washington Medical Center at the information desk for the past several years.
Ed Loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garage on cars and boats with his sons and brothers. Playing volleyball, camping, especially at Indian River Inlet in Delaware. Going to the beach, riding his bike at Downs Park, frequenting estate sales, boating and fishing. Ed loved spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Ed will lie in state at the Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church 200 School Lane Linthicum Heights, Maryland 21090 on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 1-1:30 PM. Where funeral services will begin at 1:30 PM. Cremation services to follow. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Chesapeake Bay Foundation in the links provided below.
