Joseph Longo, 85 died in his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Anthony and Angelina Longo. He and his late wife Elizabeth resided in E. Baltimore until they moved to Pasadena in 1954. He was self-employed as an auto mechanic since 1941 and he and his late wife were the owners of Longo Bros. Garage in E. Baltimore (Canton) for over 60 years. They were a team in business and well known in the community for their generosity and friendliness.

Joe served in the US Army in 1945. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 1456, the American Legion Post # 0038 in Dundalk and American Turners.

In addition to his passion for cars, he enjoyed dancing, listening to music, watching wrestling and playing his accordion.

He is survived by his daughter Angie Benson and her husband Vernon, a grandson Tony Benson and his wife Ainsley, daughter Pat Williams and her husband Charlie, son Bernard Janowski and his wife June, the late Edward Janowski and his wife Sarah. Also 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. Also survived by his longtime companion Margaret Smerowski.

Friends and family may visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME P.A. (Pasadena) on Saturday and Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church (Pasadena) on Monday at 11 AM, followed by interment at Cedar Hill Mausoleum in Baltimore.
