Life Legacy

Joseph A. Nickey, age 51, of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on April 10th 2013.

Joe was born in Lansdowne on July 7, 1961. He graduated from Lansdowne Highschool and continued on to receive an Engineering Degree from University of Maryland.

He was married to Kelly on April 13, 1985; they were married for 28 years.

Joe worked as a Director of Quality Assurance for Kratos-Integral Systems. He enjoyed golf, beach vacations, cruises, the Ravens, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Granite Baptist Church.

He was the beloved husband of Kelly Nickey; devoted father of Eric, his wife Kayla and Justin Nickey; also survived by loving brothers Norman and John Nickey along with many nieces and nephews.

Joe is preceded in death by parents Norman and Lilly Belle Nickey.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Monday April 15 at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena. The funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday April 16 at Granite Baptist Church. Interment will follow the funeral at Evergreen Memorial Garden.
