WAJTKOWICZ, JOSEPH A., Sr., 88, of Pasadena, Maryland passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 with his family at his side.
He was born in Avoca, Pennsylvania on March 18, 1926. He spent three years in the Merchant Marines. He retired from the Buffalo Tank Division of Bethelem Steel Corporation as a General Foreman in 1982. After retirement he stayed active and spent time with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and all six of his siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; his three children, Diana (Bill), Joseph A. Jr. (Jackie) and David; grandchildren, Robert Strickland (Michelle), David Wajtkowicz Jr., Julie Wajtkowicz and Jenny (Tim) Leonard; two great-grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, in- laws and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3024 Mountain Road PASADENA on Friday 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 1PM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice of the Chesapeake for their support in his final days.
